In Marian Gems: Daily Wisdom on Our Lady, Fr. Donald Calloway, MIC shares gems or quotes on Mary that he was inspired to begin collecting when he was a seminarian. He includes a gem for each day of the year, drawn from the writings of the Popes, Saints, Blesseds, and Venerables. When these gems first appeared in his book Under the Mantle, many readers loved them and suggested he publish them in a separate book for daily prayer. He was delighted and took their advice.

Additional Details
In Marian Gems: Daily Wisdom on Our Lady, Fr. Donald Calloway, MIC, shares a gem or quote on Mary for each day of the year drawn from the writings of the Popes, Saints, Blesseds, and Venerables, which makes the book ideal for daily prayer and reflection. Father Calloway has arranged the gems with the Church Year in mind, so that whenever possible the quote complements a Marian feast day, a saint’s feast day, or a particular liturgical season. He began collecting these "gems" when he was a seminarian, and when they first appeared in his book Under the Mantle, many readers loved them and suggested he publish them in a separate book for daily prayer. He was delighted and took their advice. For each day, Fr. Calloway also provides a title of Our Lady, which you can use in closing your time of prayer.
